Best Cities Article Series
St George in Southern Utah is my home. It’s located on I15 about 300 miles south of Salt Lake City Utah and 120 miles northeast of Las Vegas Nevada.
I argue that St. George is the greatest city in the world. There is no better place to live, raise a family and enjoy retirement than here. But I love to ask my clients what they like about their cities. From these conversations, I’ve learned there are some incredible places all over Nevada, Utah, and Colorado.

My Article today focuses on Moab Utah
Everyone in Utah knows about Moab because it is pretty famous in the state. But more and more, Moab is gaining notoriety throughout the entire U.S. and beyond.
I personally have been to the area a few times and am always blown away at the picturesque beauty. These are some of my favorite things about Moab Utah.
National & State Parks:
If you’ve seen beautiful pictures of Red Rock Cliffs, impossible natural Arches, or watched any old western movies, the chances are high that you’re already acquainted with what Moab has to offer.

Activities:
If you love the outdoors Moab has an endless supply of adventures. These are what’s listed at discovermoab.com. 4 wheeling, ATV/UTB, white water rapids, river floating, ballooning, bird watching, fishing, golfing, guided tours, hiking, horseback riding, motorcycle riding (on and off-road), mountain biking, road biking, rock climbing, canyoneering, plane, and helicopter touring, and skydiving.
Yes, the list is pretty ridiculous but for someone who loves the outdoors, Moab is heaven.
Location:
You might think that Moab’s location is unfortunate because it is kind of in the middle of nowhere. But that is what is so great about it. Tucked somewhere between Richfield and Green River in Utah, and Grand Junction Colorado is a little side road that detours you to Moab. If you’re not paying attention it is easy to miss. Unfortunately, I learned this from experience the first time we visited.
This remote location has protected Moab from the many throngs of tourists that overrun other parks like Yosemite and Zion National Park. Don’t get me wrong, there are still a ton of tourists visiting Moab but to some extent, it is less crowded than other parks. But it is no less beautiful.
Downsides to Moab:
I will be honest that there are a couple of downsides to Moab: 1. Dehydration and 2. Mosquitos. If you’re visiting Moab, make sure you bring lots of water, sunscreen, and bug repellent.
In conclusion, I hope you’ve liked these highlights of Moab Utah. If you love the natural world and all its beauty then Moab is a must for your bucket list.
